Would be really, really nice; I don't know of a single
graphical client for *nix based operating sytems that works
nicely with FTP-TLS security, and it is supposed to be the
'approved' way of secure ftp communications. OpenSSL
should help you muchly :) I would volounteer my services,
but I have no idea about security and cryptography and
the like - although I could have a bash anyway if noone
else wants to try?
