Hi everyone, not sure if this is the right forum so please let me know and possibly even suggest a better place to post my questions.  Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.  My real issue is that I don't even know how to go about diagnosing the problem.

When I make a call to echo123 (using speed dial 99#) from my handset, skypes makes the call but the audio gets pushed to my speakers instead of through my handset.

Below is the output from kb2kskype when it first starts up.

Skype instance found, window id 50331830
        NAME B2K_CONNECTOR (sent to skype)
        PROTOCOL 7 (sent to skype)
        OK (message from skype)
        PROTOCOL 7 (message from skype)
        USB Device Found (from telbox)
        CONNSTATUS ONLINE (message from skype)
        CURRENTUSERHANDLE <my-skype-user-name> (message from skype)
        SEARCH FRIENDS (sent to skype)
        USERSTATUS ONLINE (message from skype)
        USERS echo123 (message from skype)
        SWITCH USB (from telbox)
        (from telbox)
Unknown Key: 01 3a (from telbox)

Looks ok except for an Unknown Key message.  Next, here is the output I see when I make a call to echo123 using the speed dial code 99# and then hang up the handset about 6 seconds into the call.

        HANDSET OFF (from telbox)
        MINIMIZE (sent to skype)
        OK (message from skype)
        HANDSET ON (from telbox)
        FOCUS (from telbox)
        FOCUS (sent to skype)
        OK (message from skype)
        CALL 99 (from telbox)
        CALL echo123 (sent to skype)
CALL 87 STATUS UNPLACED (message from skype)
CALL 87 STATUS UNPLACED (message from skype)
CALL 87 STATUS ROUTING (message from skype)
CALL 87 STATUS RINGING (message from skype)
CALL 87 VAA_INPUT_STATUS FALSE (message from skype)
CALL 87 STATUS INPROGRESS (message from skype)
CALL 87 DURATION 1 (message from skype)
CALL 87 DURATION 2 (message from skype)
CALL 87 DURATION 3 (message from skype)
CALL 87 DURATION 4 (message from skype)
CALL 87 DURATION 5 (message from skype)
CALL 87 DURATION 6 (message from skype)
        HANDSET OFF (from telbox)
SET CALL 87 STATUS FINISHED (sent to skype)
        MINIMIZE (sent to skype)
CALL 87 STATUS INPROGRESS (message from skype)
        OK (message from skype)
CALL 87 STATUS FINISHED (message from skype)

Everything seems to work except for the audio not being properly routed.  Is this just a configuration problem I'm having with Skype?

When I looked through the Skype configs, the logical place to make this change was in the "Sound Devices" section where it talks about the Sound In, Sound Out and Ringing options.  I tried changing these from "Default device (default)" to "VOIP USB Phone (hw:default,0)" and "VOIP USB Phone (plughw:default,0)" and applying the changes but that doesn't work.  I am still able to make the call but I can't get any audio. (Note: I also tried deselecting the "Allow Skype to automatically adjust my mixer levels" option because I'd read in some forums that this can cause problems.

Any ideas?  Below is a description of the system I'm running and the versions of the various components. Unfortunately I'm running the latest version of Skype because I can't find a package for anything < 2.0.

    System Info

    OS: Ubuntu 8.04, Linux 2.6.24-21-generic

    Skype: 2.0.0.72

    kb2kskype: 0.3.3 from installing kb2kskype_0.3.7-1_i386.kubuntu710.deb

Handset: Vextra 238 Base & Handset

Telbox: Yealink B2K RJ11 to Skype
(lsusb is displaying the device as "Freshtel FT-102 VoIP USB Phone")

    usbb2k-api installed from package usbb2k-api-mod_2.8-1_i386.kubuntu710.deb
"usbb2k-api" command displays "Yealink B2K/B3G 2.080000 driver, now manteined by Marcos Diez <marcos AT unitron.com.br>"

Please ignore, looks like its fixed.

I tried a 'windows solution' of a reboot.  Works now.  I'm guessing that it WAS a problem with allowing skype to adjust mixer levels, but it requires a reboot to force skype to let go of the audio.
