I had problems with kb2ksykpe on openSUSE 11.1.  Occasionally the outgoing sound would go silent and while I could hear the other party upon a call, they could not hear me.  I tried playing with the sound, etc, but often just had to kill skype, kb2kskype, and the usbb2k program and start them again.  I wanted to run skype on my linux server so it would 'just work, and take care of itself'.  This has not been my experience so far.

So I upgraded my server to openSUSE 11.2.  It got totally worse.  Now it's just about every day that it craps out.  Sometimes the only fix is to reboot.

Does anyone out there have this 'just working' on linux?  Do you not have to babysit it every day?  Every week?  At all?  I wanted to stay with openSUSE on my server, since I'd had great success with it in other areas.  But, I'm just about fed up.  Can you tell me what distos are good for a skype/kb2kskype server?  All other tasks that I have my server doing right now should work on any distro.

Thanks!!!
