    huzelj - 2007-10-20

    Hello,

I am a fairly new linux user, I am running PCLinuxOS, I have compiled and installed usbb2k_api already, when I move on to kb2kskype I get this error.

I have run it from root and it gives me the same error.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Jake Huzel

There will be new packages uploaded tonight to save you avoiding to compile your self however check you have similar to these (these are the fedora names I don't have pclinux to tell you the exact names for your OS.)

      libusb-devel
      alsa-lib-devel
      kdelibs-devel
      qt-devel
      automake 1.9 on kubuntu
      libjpeg-devel-6b on fedora)
      g++
      alsa-utils
      libX11-devel

Packages are up for you, however its the older version of usbb2k-api so you will get a usb call broken by an incomming PSTN call.

I'll get an update out for you soon.

I have this problem also.  I have debian etch with gnome desktop.  I do have X installed I think.  can someone point me in the right direction to a thread or have instructions to get past this?  I get this error with the latest .deb pack

You are probably missing some devel packages. Why not just use the binary packages that are available on the download page the s31.deb packages should work fine. for etch

p.s. if its the binary pack giving you this then its a different error so please post it.
