This gives me everything I wanted from Skype: to be able to use the Skype GUI and regular phone at the same time. I have a Linksys CIT 200 also, but they never did the Linux drivers they promised, and my Windows machine is a laptop on a VPN (while my Linux server is always on, and connected directly to broadband), and the CIT200 doesn't work with the Skype GUI (i.e. can't select a phone number to dial from the GUI menu and have the phone work). I run the Linux GUI in a vnc session so I can work with the skype GUI from remote machines (in the house).
Two questions:
1) In listening to my skype voicemail, I pick up the phone, press "*", select the voicemail I want to listen to from the GUI: the dialtone doesn't go away while listening... how do I get rid of that?
2) (solved) I'm using, I believe, a Yealink usb-p1k with a regular POTS phone. How do I start dialing from the phone if I don't have a "+" on the phone's keys? Never mind: dial "001" instead of "+1" for the US.
Note: I'm running OpenSuSE 10.2. I

Never mind. I solved it myself:
Press "*" again (after pressing "*" to get dialtone), and dialtone goes away, then select voicemail to listen to.
