I followed the instructions for AMD64, which I guess means I compiled it, and it works great, once I noticed the recording volume was all the way down, and once I was able to get it to stop crashing. So it's working for me on Ubuntu 8.10 64bit under GNOME.
Any plans to make it less KDE-centric? After all the dependencies were satisfied, I now have Dolphin installed, which I don't use.

I myself have tried this driver on
- Kubuntu 6.10
- Mandriva 2007
and have read that it works on Gentoo too
Which distros are you using?
Any problems specific to your distribution?

I tried it on Fedora Core 6 (boo, terrible system); and
Ubuntu 6.10 (yay, excellent system)
It worked fine, with the caveat of the recent software patches on 0.3.1 suggested in skype forums.
Actually I should add that the .deb file distro "fails" to auto-load on Ubuntu.
I had to manually edit /etc/init.d/usbb2k-api-mod :
DAEMON=/usr/bin/usbb2k_api
Was required (it was pointing at another named file in sbin, other than the one distributed (i.e. above))
this is fixed in the new packages I'm building :)
thanks for alerting me!
I've just started using it on Fedora Core 5 running on an AMD Geode processor.
I am using Ubuntu 7. But, the program is not working properly. Please Alatariel I need your help.
Thanks in advance,
Milton
I am right now compiling packages for the new version of the source code we have now, perhaps you could try that one instead?
