The katapult project is being given a new breath of life by the kubuntu team. After talking with the original coder, Joe Ferris, he agreed to pass the project along to the kubuntu developers, who saw the potential of the project, and wished for it to remain active. Initial plans are to release a stable version with bugfixes for current problems.
