svn 1946: Sometimes the mouse click gets out of synch. Then I can no longer open the context menu with the mouse. When I click first left, then right in fast sequence, it opens the database (as for double-click). When I click first left, then right in slow sequence, it selects and then deselects the database again.
Note: when I am in this situation, the following trick works sometimes to get a context menu:
- for multiple databases: select the databases, then click left on an unselected database with the apple key still pressed. With a little luck this opens the context menu and I can perform my function for the selected databases.
- for a single database: select the database, then select two additional databases in slow sequence, deselect them again with left clicks, then right-click the first database to get the context menu.
Note 2: in rare cases I succeeded to recover from this situation; but I cannot reproduce it.
Note 3: restarting the application improves the behavior, but only for a while.
Note 4: this might be related to #2930952 and #2924695.
Note 5: restarting the application sometimes helps and brings it back to synch.
svn2218; double click works nicer now, investigate further if this bug is still valid.
svn 2218: behaves quite well under Apple MacOS.
However, under Ubuntu, the behavior is not satisfying; it is quite hard to trigger the Database View function.
Proposal: implement a main menu and a context menu for Database View (see #2978790), additional to the mouse event, and postpone a proper solution for the mouse event until after the planned 0.2 release.
