The following issue seems to be a bug in OS 3.0 / SDK 3.0 and needs a workaround.
It was found on a device with OS 3.0 and svn 727 (linked with SDK 3.0).
It does not show up on a device with OS 2.2 and svn 664 (linked with SDK 2.2).
Scenario:
- go to card list and enter a search string
Expected behavior: the list scrolls to the matching card. The first matching entry is visible at the top of the list.
Observed behavior: the list scrolls slightly too far up, so that the first matching entry is hidden under the section header.

The same behavior happens with svn 734 on branches/1.3 (linked against the old API 2.2) running on a device with OS 3.0.
It needs to be fixed for the next release, independent from the linked API.

    fixed in svn765.
the fix is controlled by the compile option OS_3_0_BUG_2816928
soft scrolling of table during search is disabled

Tested again with OS 3.1.2 - the bug is still present.

Reopened the tracker because the bug is still present in the OS. Set to low priority because we have implemented a workaround.

This might be related to #2721216 (keyboard hides searched entry in card list)

Analysis: since OS 3.0, scrolling a table with sections to UITableViewScrollPositionTop has a bug.
Using other scrolling strategies is not an option before we have a proper solution for #2721216, before then the searched entry hides often behind the keyboard.

Resolved in svn 2411 / 2412, using the scrolling strategy UITableViewScrollPositionNone instead.

The bug with UITableViewScrollPositionTop in table with sections seems to be fixed in SDK 4.3.
