Kannel Appliance is a Linux distribution intended to provide framework for implementation of mobile VAS applications based on SMS, MMS (and possible USSD) technology.

This distribution may be used to create:

• VAS SMS gateway
• WAP gateway
• SMPP Proxy (using opensmppbox)
• MMSC
• VAS MMS gateway
• OTA provisioning platform

Note: Kannel Appliance does not include any business logic applications. It will save your time on building and installing core components.
