If you feel you miss us you are always welcome to join back in, just shoot me an email. For those of you that joined us on the Higher Ed VideoCommunity User Group conference call a while back, we are finally getting around to organizing our first meet up. For those who weren't on the call (or that have been added to this initial email based on that fact that we thought you might be interested) we had talked about starting some meet ups a few times a year to discuss what is happening in the world of educational video from anything the capturing of it to the delivery of it and the good stuff in between as well. First, I'm going to create a listserv to make it easier for us all to communicate and talk about ideas on a more ongoing basis. If you would like to be added to this list or know of anyone who would, please confirm, otherwise you won't be added to reduce you life spent on email :) Next, we know it's a bit short notice, but we wanted to see if people would be able to get together next Tuesday, Nov. 15th from 12-2 (lunch will be provided by Perry). Depending on the number able to make it, we will hold it then or try re-scheduling for Tuesday Dec. 6th from 12-2. If distance is an issue, we also plan to host it live online as well to allow as much participation as possible so don't worry if you can't physically make it. Please let me know if you can do next Nov. 15 OR Dec.6 and based on the majority rule, we'll pick the most popular date. As a bonus we are trying to line up a great guest speaker on topic (educational video something or other) to kick off the meeting (and to give everyone a chance to eat) who we will announce later. Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns or anything else.
