[tried kaldi-discuss but didn't work, trying kaldi-users] They don't represent confidence scores. To get confidence scores, there are, I believe, options to lattice-mbr-decode that you can use to get this information, in a "sausage-string-like" format. Also, lattice-to-ctm-conf will use the same internal code to produce ctm-format output that has confidence scores. Cc'ing Kaldi discuss so the response is available to others.
