[DEVLOG] v0.7 minor update

Had few hiccups for v0.7 initial release -- the build was buggy.

Raised 3 tickets to describe the problem which were all fixed right away.
- https://sourceforge.net/p/kage/tickets/135/
- https://sourceforge.net/p/kage/tickets/136/

Instead of releasing v0.7b, previous v0.7 was overwritten with corrections for above bugs.

Get the new one over at Downloads page:

[DEVLOG] Kage Studio is LIVE at GitHub

Earlier today, I've mirrored Kage Studio source code over at Github: https://github.com/creek23/kage

Moving the Forum over at GitHub is still under consideration but everything else should remain.

Tickets will still be with SourceForge. File Releases will still be hosted with SourceForge. Kage Studio's main website will still be with SourceForge.... read more

Kage v0.4.210416 DEB package released!

Get it while it's hot!
https://sourceforge.net/projects/kage/files/kagestudio_0.4-210416_amd64.deb/download

Thanks to TRIANGLES of Internal Pointers, Debian and Ubuntu GNU/Linux users can once again use Kage Studio -- the non-devs, of course, since Kage's source code has always been available for developers to compile on their flavored Linux dev box -- btw, we are open for packages built for Arch Linux, Fedora, and the likes.... read more

Kage v0.4.210416 released!

Get yours now!
https://sourceforge.net/projects/kage/files/kagestudio_v0.4.210416_win64.zip/download

This maintenance release was from revision 764 of the source code. For comparison, Kage v0.4.201024 was from revision 762.

So, what was improved since? The previous debug logging caused too much lag -- that's fixed now -- well, it's been fixed since April 2021, it just wasn't released as a pre-compiled binary. Also, this is a Ticket #8-centric fixes tho not really :P... read more

Website is FIXED!

For awhile, Kage's website was broken. But with SourceForge's help, it's fixed now :)

Even the download link wasn't working for some time, but it's fixed as well.

Dev Update: not much activity from my side. I'm trying to recompile the code on Windows 11 to check for compatibility issues, but fresh from pre-compiled download, Kage does work fine on Windows 11.... read more

We are on Facebook!

I believe everyone will agree when I say Facebook is the King of Social Media -- as of this posting, that is.

For a little known Animation Software with over 200 downloads this year from 40 countries (including United States, India, Romania, Pakistan, Turkey, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Russia, Brazil, Greece), I am hoping a presence in Facebook will help build our Kage community faster than SourceForge (sorry, SourceForge).... read more

Kage v0.4.201024 released!

Version 0.4.x series achieved! -- almost.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/kage/files/kagestudio_v0.4.201024_win64.zip/download

As most backlogs for v0.4 has already been implemented in previous releases (0.2 and 0.3), the two remaining 0.4 backlogs are committed for Maintenance Package release. But as a compromise, Shape/Motion Tween from 0.5 is now available, as well as Pencil Tool aka "doodle tool" from 0.9. These 2 features became high priority as it would help me in my mini-animation project I'm working on.... read more

This 0.3.x series second and last Maintenance Package also packs Tweening! You can now do Linear, Ease-In, Ease-Out tweening! :)

Kage v0.3.200512 released!

Version 0.3.x series first Maintenance Package released!
https://sourceforge.net/projects/kage/files/kagestudio_v0.3.200512_win64.zip/download
https://sourceforge.net/projects/kage/files/kagestudio_0.3.200512_amd64.deb/download

Yes, that's a Debian file, tested working on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS -- along with the usual Windows release. The big file size difference is because Windows (50MB) includes official precompiled FFMPEG from ffmpeg.org and Gtkmm-3.0 runtime, while GNU/Linux (250KB) will ask you to separately pre-install its dependency gtkmm-3.0 and ffmpeg.... read more

Kage v0.3.200411 released!

Version 0.3.x series achieved!
https://sourceforge.net/projects/kage/files/kagestudio_v0.3.200411_win64.zip/download

Still a late-ALPHA or early-BETA release but still a good progress. As most backlogs for v0.3 has already been implemented in previous release, didn't really expect to implement last few needed changes in achieving version 0.3 soon given the difficulty compared the first set of v0.3 backlogs done.... read more
