Hello there, first of all: i don't have any problems with kaffeine on my system (kaffeine 0.8.3, KDE 3.5.5 on openSUSE 10.2) ! But i wrote a Browser-like application (http://inquisitor.sourceforge.net), which shows html-sites like any other "normal" Browsers. I wrote this application for MS-Windows AND Linux (and maybe also run on a Mac ?), but for now only Windows is able to play Videos within my program. So i want to give all Linux-Users the same functionality as on every Windows-System, and i think that "kaffeine" (or better: it's Plugin) is the right choice. If i search for "Kaffeine", "Embed" and/or "Plugin" (also in your Mailing-List), i only get answers on how to embed the kaffeine-Plugin within FireFox, Mozilla, Konqueror and so on. -I think there are not much people out there which write their own browsers ? OK, my application is written in TCL/TK, and it makes use of the TkHTML-Package. On MS-Windows i can use the "opTCL"-package to embed the MS-MediaPlayer (or any other Player like Flash, RealMedia, Quicktime, etc.) within my application. But how do i embed the kaffeine-plugin under Linux ? Is there a "TCL-wrapper" for that purpose available, or can you give me a hint, on how to do this ? -I don't have much knowledge on how to use/write C(++) programms, so there must be an easy way to embed the kaffeine-plugin in my own TCL-application to play videos also on every Linux-System (with kaffeine). regards jens |
