I'd like to suggest a slight change to Kaffeine's minimal mode to
produce better consistency with the fullscreen controls. Currently the
'M' key is used to switch in to and out of minimal mode and the middle
mouse button is used to show and hide the controls while in fullscreen mode.
I propose that since these two operations are so similar from the
perspective of the user, the middle mouse button should be used for
both. I can't see this causing any problems, there is no real possiblity
for confusion. One wouldn't expect to change the visibility of
fullscreen controls while in windowed mode, and vice versa.
The result would be that the visibility of the controls could be toggled
at any time (in any mode) by simply pressing the middle mouse button. An
added bonus is this matches the behaviour used by xine-ui, simplifying
things for converts.
Please let me know what you think.
