In addition, we would like >>to bring it into python 2.3 >>compatibility. >> >> -- Robert Robert and Travis both bring up many good points. I would applaud anyone who brings Python 2.3 into Jython. Does anyone know if there are plans to bring Python 2.3 into Jython? The lack of response to this discussion thread is disconcerting. There seems to be no vision as to where or if Jython is going. And already two revs behind Python with no signs of what to expect? Is anybody out there steering the boat? Surely if there were, they would have responded to this thread. Jython really has been a nice environment for me in building small cross platform UI applications and with all the work that has gone into Jython, it seems someone out there must be watching out for it. Anybody? The environment here is too nice to go to waste. Maybe a coorporation that makes Java or Python tools will take over development of Jython? I would actually pay.
