I'm an old hand at jython with emacs and am trying to migrate to eclipse so others in my organization don't have to learn emacs to become pythonistas. I've been using the Red Robin plugin and having alot of trouble with the editor screwing up the indentation. It looks fine in eclipse but gives a syntax error. The same file opened in emacs shows obvious indentation errors. I also have pythoneclipse and pydev plugins installed, but I don't think they are being referenced. I am new to eclipse, so perhaps there is a setting somewhere that I have overlooked, but I can't find it. Any suggestions???????? |

Any suggestions???????? I also migrated from emacs to eclipse (pydev, newest version). The emacs python mode I used mixed up tabs and spaces, which led to funny looking indentation in pydev. What I usually do is open the same file in both eclipse and emacs, and adjust the indentation in eclipse (mainly replacing tabs with spaces, and controlling visually). My pydev settings are: replace tabs with 2 spaces. Best wishes, Oti. |
