I have a pre-alpha version of select and asynch IO for JDK 1.4 available at:
It works for most cases and I am definitely willing/interested in having
someone commit patches or further assist in development of the module. It's
a replacement of the current socket module since the changes required for
non-blocking IO are somewhat significant. I'm hoping to spend tonight
catching up on documentation for a couple different projects/requests so if
you can't figure out how to configure it I should hopefully get to it later
I'm kinda stretched thin on development time so if you want to help
develop/test this module I would *greatly* appreciate it since I really want
select in jython I just don't have copious amounts of free time at the
