I haven't been contribute to open projects, but after I finishing to
create an experiment/example to understand the jython power, I thought
that it could be useful for other java/jython developers.
I don't know if you are interested in similar small examples, but if you
are I can send it to you.
I describe you this:
- It's a webbapp standard (war file), it work with jakarta.tomcat from
4.0 to last release and try to follow the MVC pattern. You have only to
copy it to a wabbapp directory and start your engine.
- It use jakarta.velocity (I like it) and Servlets (no JSP)
- It's simple, but optimum for a demo to insert in your site examples
repository, if you like it.
- It do this:A request present you two text area, one for velocity
template (the View) and the second for the text of the script in
python(Model). The script put objects in the velocity context for
merging with the template.
When you submit it save the script source end the template source on the
After, you can execute it submitting a web request, and view the result.
It is obtained by the merging of velocity template and java objects
created end managed by the python script.
If you are interested, don't esitate tho write me and
give me istructions for the text of license (BSD, ??: I'm very novice in
this field ) to add in my source code if you think I have to.
Thanks you and all people that contribute to this project, I found it
very intersting and I think that it can become famous with the fast
spread of python language.
Sorry for my English, ....
