In an attempt to simplify running from CVS and to make it easier to
create sourceballs, I have added some new tasks to build.xml. The main
new target is "copy-dist" which will create a "dist" subdirectory which
should contain a complete copy of a jython-installation, except for the
startup scripts and whatever I have forgot.
So to those of us that run from CVS, we need to set PATH to the root of
the jython workdir and JYTHON_HOME to <workdir>/dist. There is no longer
any need to change python.path in the registry files because the CPython
modules will be copied into ./dist/Lib.
Based on the "dist" directory, it is quite easy to create a source
tarball, and I have made such beast with whatever we have in our CVS
right now and put the result here:
I would like some feedback about the usefullness of that sourceball from
those of you that have requested sourceballs. Please note that the
actual contents of the sourceball is untested and mostly useless and you
should not distribute it further.

Two quick comments:
- whole archive content should be included in a top-level directory
- jython.jtt is missing, causing build to fail early
