I, along with another student, am attempting to do some measurements
to try to better understand how projects like Jython utilize the JVM,
and perhaps come up with ideas for improvement.
I am wondering what kind of benchmarks for Jython exist: I am
familiar with PyBench, but I'm wondering whether the Jython project
itself has any preferred or internal benchmarks used for measuring
More importantly, I am also wondering if people can suggest "large"
open-source projects that run under Jython that we could use to
gather information. An example might be the Twisted or Zope
framework; ideally, however, this would be something that we could
setup without writing much code of our own and run benchmarks against.
I previously tried e-mailing jython-users but got no response, so I
thought I'd try the development list.
Thanks for any suggestions!
