Hi, I am trying to log in to the CVS repository in order to view the most current source but I am having problems connecting. I admit that I have never used cvs (I'm using WinCVS) before so I very unsure of what I'm doing Here is the command that I am executing : cvs -d :pserver;username=anonymous;hostname=cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/jython login And, here is the responses that I receive from the cvs application : Logging in to :pserver:ano...@cv...:2401:/cvsroot/jython cvs [login aborted]: connect to cvs.sourceforge.net:2401 failed: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. ***** CVS exited normally with code 1 ***** Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris ___________________________________________________________________ For super low premiums, click here http://www.webmail.co.za/dd.pwm http://www.webmail.co.za the South African FREE email service |

Have you followed the instructions on=20 http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=3D12867 ? I.e... cvs -d:pserver:ano...@cv...:/cvsroot/jython login cvs -z3 -d:pserver:ano...@cv...:/cvsroot/jython co -P = jython ... should get you the most needed files. ...johahn |

Hi It is sourceforge's policy that the anonymous cvs server has lower priority than the one over ssh for developers I've had many times the same situation than yours :-/ Carlos On Thu, 26 Jan 2006 09:59:25 +0100, "Johan Hahn" <joh...@ho...> said: > >cvs [login aborted]: connect to cvs.sourceforge.net:2401 > >failed: A connection attempt failed because the connected > >party did not properly respond after a period of time, or > >established connection failed because connected host has > >failed to respond. > > > Sorry for not reading your whole message.. > If your ISP blocks port 2401 to cvs.sf.net you can use > cvs-pserver.sf.net:80 instead. > > ...johahn > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
