I don't know how to solve this issue specifically but if an import is slow you can use another thread to do the import that you can later join. I hope it helps.

Hi all,

in order to diagnosemy problem with _slow_ imports, I tried to profile
jython. Unfortunately any profiler I tried reports inconsistent stack
height problems. Is this a known issue and is there any profiling method
that circumvents this?

best,

Christoph
