That is a great idea.  I plan to try and develop the 2.6 docs a bit more than the 2.5.x series.  That being said, I've set up a project on Sourceforge that contains the documentation set.  You can download Sphinx to build the documentation set.  We ported the Python 2.6 documentation set backwords (a little) to work with Jython 2.5 since the are composed from restructured text.  If you are interested in helping with the docs, then feel free to grab them from sourceforge.
