At Google we're making some enhancements to Jython to permit it
to be used as a backend for IDEs and other tools for processing
Python code.

In particular, we're changing the parser to record more information,
and we've added a type-inferencing analyzer subpackage that
exports a global symbol table and some other goodies.

What are the chances we can get this work rolled into Jython?
We would rather not have to create and maintain a permanent
open-source fork.

If you folks are amenable, what process should we use for
submitting the changes for review?
