Thank you Charlie.  I will look at regrtest.py first from now on.

I will also take a look at test_socketserver and see if I think it adds any value over the current tests and if I might be able to get it working in Jython.

test_socketserver, along with many other tests that haven't been made
to work with Jython yet, are skipped by regrtest.py. When you run
regrtest, it summarizes which tests failed, which tests skipped and
how many tests passed when it finishes. If a test failed or skipped
that shouldn't have, it will complain loudly about that.

If you feel like test_socketserver is doing some valuable testing,
please submit a patch to get it working on Jython. It's always good
to have more of Python's tests working.
