From reading back through this list it appears as though there are some fairly simple fixes to make Jython work with JDK 1.5, what I was wondering is how jython, either the current one of the upcoming 2.2 release, will interact with Java generics?
My impression is that Java generics are effectively a compile-time feature as opposed to a run time one, does this mean that Jython effectively ignores the generic interface and just uses reflection to find the right interface?  Do any of you expect there to be problems here?
Sorry for the ignorance implicit in this question, I've not had time to use the 1.5 beta yet, but we use Jython a lot and I'd like to be prepared for any issues that might arise when we look towards upgrading.
