Is the output from PythonInterpreter being printed to stderr?

I would also add

to make sure I am redirecting the error messages as well.

Any thoughts why calling PythonInterpreter.setOut(out) results in stdout still going to stdout of Tomcat, and not the output stream defined?  Code sample follows:

         PythonInterpreter pi = pythonInterpreter();

         pi.exec("from x import myfunc");

         PyObject f = pi.get("myfunc ");

         PyObject[] params = new PyObject[] { ...}

Thanks for any feedback.
