I've dowloaded and installed JWNL package, and it compiles ok.
Now I don't know how to make it work, that is, how does it connect to wordnet: what's the file input of the initialize method for?
Thanks in advance!
Look at FileBackedDictionaryTester.java in the project.
The key points... (1) you need to call JWNL.initialize() with the file with the configuration. There is a good example in the path of the project; but you will have to edit the properties string to point to the correct file.
The file 'file_properties.xml' will need to be editted.
First change, place the correct version in <version publisher="Princeton" number="3.0" language="en"/>
Next change, place the correct path to the dictionary files in <param name="dictionary_path" value="C:\Program Files (x86)\WordNet\2.1\dict"/>
The initalize method attaches the class to the dictionary allowing you to lookup words and more.
I'm still learning myself.
