Development Update 2014 02 02

Well, what an interesting journey it has been.

There has been a lot of work, and A LOT of documentation happening in the code.
Created a project tracker application using the framework to monitor the project, this will be available on the demo site once I have finalized and secured the server.

This month will be focusing on a JDK 8 implementation, and a NetBeans 8.0 update with a plugin. With it using JQuery in the IDE and the beautiful JS functionality, it is definitely taking over Eclipse in a big way. Not sure if I will even make an eclipse plugin, so far that answer is no.

So, here it is, a complete web framework with all functionality that one could desire, components that with such ease of development it will blow your mind away. The first implementation at a client is going with complete success (so far) - but yes many many changes were required to get it ready for a production environment.

I'll be registering the domain name for the demo site soon and getting the source server up and running. Not sure if I'll be enabling state caching and enabling this month, might only be next, but for now we'll just be storing everyone's page and state as serialized objects in a db. Will maybe add a 4 layer cache cake for offline storage. At least security will be absolute with absolutely no states or sessions existing on the client side. This is a full server-side solution.

4 Years and by the end of 2014 it will be the 5th year of development on this project, and finally we are reaching the end of a long and tedious journey!

Hope you love using it, as much as I have.
