Waste is a very awesome program that has a good future. One important thing that needs to be done to waste (that I think would be very simple to implement) would be adding a Makefile to the source-code.

Also, some other things that would be neat:
1.) Something to block TTYL attacks in determining the IPs of other nodes (like a limit of 10 kb/s default or giving option for # of tunnels).
    2.) Optional universal data-store
3.) Secure integration into other IM networks such as AIM or gAIM

      Hi John,
thanks for your input, I will take it seriously and keep them in Mind.
For your information, a build-file allready exists (even it isn't checked into the cvs repository yet).
The first release will be covering the waste-protocoll, as it is today. After that, evolution will start. But at first a version has to be there at all. I make currently only very slow progress, because of some personal stuff (call it life ;).
      So long,
      Daniel

Why not try the entire security suite that its built to work with ?
You can get it here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/blackbeltpriv/

If you just want WASTE on its own, then check out: https://sourceforge.net/projects/swarmdarknet/

The source code is shipped with BlackBelt Privacy. If any of it sucks, let us know. We've only got this far mostly due to suggestions and sometimes complaints :-)
