An interesting note: MASM 10.0 dropped support for 16-bit processors: .8086 .8087 .286 .286p .287 .no87 no longer work. Minimum .386 is always in effect so long conditional jumps will be used instead of jump extensions and MASM 10 cannot be used to build many DOS programs. I guess they don't see the need to maintain compatibility anymore.
