I'm sorry, but I cannot see why the fact that v2.08 contains a regression that is to be fixed is in any way to be related to the question whether v2.07 is stable or not.

there is a v2.08a available on the jwasm site which fixes two regressions of v2.08.
I'll upload this to SF over the week-end.
I'm still using v2.06.

I wasn't aware that v2.07 was officially a stable release.
Now, for the first time, I see something about v2.08.
