I am unable to edit the jVi preferences for NB 6.7 RC3 on OS X. The attached screen capture should make it clear.

What version of jVi? jVi is using a new property editor starting with 1.2.4, there was a tweak to it in 1.2.5. Did the new property editor work with any version of NB for you on a mac?
Using jVi 1.2.5 with NB 6.7 RC3. The older vi plugin for 6.5 used to work fine on Mac OS X. I am using Java version 1.5 with both releases.
In email Rakesh says: "see a pane with rows, but it flickers and is unusable."
The property sheet code comes from l2fprod. One thing in their code is:
String os = System.getProperty("os.name").toLowerCase();
osIsMacOsX = "mac os x".equals(os);
Did you try resizing the options window? I've seen that sometimes clear up flickering with other components when things line up just right/wrong.
I'll try to find something about this problem on the web.
The behaviour is very strange. When I first go to the jVi settings, I see the options key names that are slowly animated out towards the left, and once the labels go off the window (maximising has no effect BTW), there seems to be no way to see it. Going back to the jVi settings do not show the animation, just the screen without labels. I suspect that the flickering effect is coming from the settings pane trying to move the values area towards the right, but it cannot since it has reached its bounds.
Finally found a fix after sending several experiments to Rakesh to try out (I don't have easy access to a Mac). Many thanks Rakesh. Fixed in 1.2.6.x7 and later.
Available in nbvi-1.2.6.beta1
The implementation is slightly different that the experimental version, so you probably want to take it for a spin.
The 1.2.6 beta works fine with NB 6.7
