After a search using / * or #, the cursor is a vertical bar before a character. That isn't the right concept for vi, it should be a box character on the first character of the match. Minor, but when one is working fast, it's sufficiently anomalous to make the experienced user hesitate, which isn't the purpose of vi.

Love jvi, thank you lots.

What versions of NB and jVi are you using?

I think I remember what this is (I don't have those versions loaded on my system). For some reason, after a search the matching pattern was selected as a java selection. A recent change, when there is a java selection set the cursor to a fat vertical bar, like select mode. I realized that vim does not select anything after a search, so I stopped that and everything looks ok.

Not sure if it does it in what's currently out for NB6.9, it doesn't do it in my development version. Maybe I can find enough pieces to put out a new 6.8 release.
