I have jf installed on several OS X machines. I was
having a problem with 'unmatched "' messages,
for which the mail in question was not being
filtered correctly due to the exception.
I tracked this down to the variable JFNL.
Apparently, there is something about this definition
(which includes a live newline) that OSX doesn't
like. If I change this variable definition to JFNL=" ",
things are fine, but I'm not sure all the
ramifications of making this change so that JFNL
now represents a space rather than newline.

This is something that a more experienced
procmail/junkfilter guru might be interested in.

Does the problem occur on any non-OSX boxes? The whole point of $JFNL is to
contain a newline, so changing it to a space is not good...

I have not had the opportunity to try it on other boxes -
unfortunately, I no longer play with my linux machines,
as I don't have time anymore.
