[Jung-support] Development Status of JUNG

Hi JUNG Devs,

I'm looking to get a hold of the JUNG developers. I've been in contact with
a couple other developers who are interested in updating JUNG for JavaFX.
We'd like to use JUNG in our JavaFX applications and would like to improve
the framework as we bump into issues. Our long-term goal is to update JUNG
to work within the JavaFX and Java 8+ conventions (observable properties,
lambdas, etc)

What is the development status of JUNG? Who is currently responsible for
the project? Would you be open to allowing us to continue developing JUNG
under the JUNG name? We would maintain the 2.x series and start with a new
version 3.x or 4.x for the update, depending if the guava collections
version was ever officially released.

We think JUNG is a great library and want keep it alive as JavaFX takes the
place of Swing.
