#1 no sucsess with jmpstart

1. I have an old AS255
2. I followed the instruction for AlphaBios
selecting maintenance > jmpstart.exe from CD
3. It replies with "specify the machine type"
4. answered 5 for Avanti
5. could not find Avanti was the response.

6. I moved avanti from the MILO directory into the
root and it started MILO.
7. Now I am stacked. To be clear I am a unix user. No
background in Linux, and especially os.
8. from the Milo prompt, I can ls the CD.
9. from the milo prompt, I can't ls a copy of the
jumpstart that I made to the hard disk. (something
like "trying to close an un terminated file"
and a lot
of Jibrish"

10. I would appreciate any directions
