#16 Spinlock Stuck in KLOGD error

Getting error messasage and system hang
on making device file for after-boot utility.

Error Messsage: Read_write.c 43 spinlock
stuck in KLOGD at fffffc0000350d98(0) owner

I am trying to install linux 7.0 for
alpha. It did actually install once but I needed to do
a reinstall because I used the wrong mode the first
time and
wanted to customize the installation to
be a server with everything installed. I have changed
the boot disk with no change in behavior the result. It
has
seven 9 gig drives installed with 500
meg of memory.
