Something that would be a great addition to JumpCut would be a Static list of clips.

That is, I could set up a list of text snippets in preferences, that would be activated via numbers (e.g. my home page URL). Hit the JumpCut hotkey and the bezel pops up. Then type "1" to paste static clip #1.

Okay... I see that typing a number already takes you to the clip with that number. Okay... make it letters then.

It's useful, and it wouldn't clutter up the nice clean interface any. If you don't use it, it's not there! :)

Thanks for this great app.

Actually it looks like bloat to me!

Have you seem Xnippets http://www.oreilly.com/pub/a/mac/2003/08/05/outboard_brains.html (about 2/5 of
the way down (sadly it is not open source, but shareware) and http://atpm.com/9.08/ml.shtml , which is
a MacOS Service allowing you to name your clippings, which is much easier unless you clipping's text
really is "static clip #1". It will come as no surprise to you if I suggest that I am amongst
those who consider a small feature set to be a good thing: You might want to investigate its Zen-like simplicity.

Yes, thanks for the app, it is almost perfect the way it is.

Personally, I think using umber keys breaks the simplicity of the app.

Having said that, I'll add my own complex request. Something similar that I would like to see is the ability to pin snippets. This would make Jumpcut useful for boiler plate. They would probably need to be placed at the bottom of the list or something.

Oh, one thing, the copyright notices in the About... and Acknowledgments need to be updated to 2008.

This is an obvious feature that I've been thinking about adding for several years, but in my mockups I've never been satisfied with the behavior. As the Xnippets fan says, I'd very much like to avoid feature bloat; if I can ever figure out a way to do it that doesn't interfere with the simplicity of using Jumpcut (-minimalist- clipboard buffering), I will add it.

Aren't you referring to another type of applications, namely "TypeItForMe" kind of applications?
