No

On Windows: Whenever user tries to save as shapefile a layer with different geometries, OjenJUMP advices that it is impossible to save it by a warning panel.
On MacOSX (10.7) and Linux (Ubuntu): there is no warning message. Windows "save dataset as" closed as the operation is finalized (layer is saved)

How is the layer savec on MacOSX ?
It seems to me that it is not possible. Is the saved file complete ?

According to Peppe (mailing list), file is not saved on MacOSX in this case. It silently fails to save the layer, which is quite annoying.

Testing on OJ 3793 - Ubuntu. Now there is a warning message that advise users to separate different geometries before to save to shapefile. If there is no problem on MacOSX (Stefan?) this ticket shpuld be closed

just tested with rev. 3835 on MacOSX.
Issue is solved, i think. Creating a new layer and saving as shp gives a proper error message and advice to use "Edit> Extract> by Geometry Type".
