There was not really a consistent animation for rings, commonly reduced to a poorly visible line, and none for clubs.
The sensible use of Juggling Lab is only as moving diagrams of siteswap patterns, with some remarkable and admirable though limited use for tricks. The programs and user interface could be simplified by taking out all reference to and means for options other than balls. Even for passing, which is rarely done with balls or rings, the essential pattern for tosses shown best by balls is all that can be usefully conveyed within the general presentation by Juggling Lab.
It's okay to be just balls, so "Let it be".
