QFileSystemWatcher: failed to add paths: /home/roland/.config/ibus/bus

The add_path failure seems bad, but the ibus messages have me even more worried.

Which version of JuffEd is it and how did you install it (from a package or compiled manually)?

According to the about box, v0.8.2.

I installed it by adding the suppository listed to get the latest build. The one included with KUbuntu doesn't even run.

Actually, all that output (KSharedDataCache, QInotifyFileSystemWatcher, ibus, ...) goes from somewhere else, not from JuffEd (Qt or KDE). There is only one line that is printed by JuffEd:
    "[09:11:45]" "Can't open file '/home/roland/.config/juff/hlschemes/sql.xml'"
It reports that you don't have a custom scheme for SQL syntax but that's totally fine - inthis case it uses the standard one instead.

Could you please get the call stack to determine the exact point of the crash? Here is the instruction how to get it: http://code.google.com/p/juffed/wiki/GettingCallStack

It didn't crash, so no, I cannot.

Seeing all of those messages when starting juffed from the command line is a bad thing. It will not instill user confidence.

Well, I can't do anything about these messages since it's not me who produces them. If I remember correctly you can see them when you run any other Qt app in KDE environment (but I can't see them in GNOME).
You can try launching "designer-qt4", "assistant-qt4" or "linguist-qt4" to double-check.

As for custom syntax scheme - I'll change the message to something less scary than "Can't open file".
