link to GO Term Finder

Hi,
It's very handy that a link to SGD is provided when clicking on a
gene name. One suggestion is to take this one step further, so
that when examining a gene list, one can choose an option
(perhaps under the Export menu?) to send the gene list to the GO
Term Finder, so the genes are automatically passed in. For yeast
genes, it'd be easy enough to just link to the SGD GO Term Finder,
I think:
http://db.yeastgenome.org/cgi-bin/SGD/GO/goTermFinder
There is also a GO Term Finder for all species at:
http://helix.princeton.edu/cgi-bin/GOTermFinder/GOTermFinder
This would be very convenient and also get around the problem of
having to try to keep the GO annotations up to date in the cdt files.
Thanks,
Kara

In 1.0.9 and later, "Export->Save List" will bring up an export window of
the currently selected genes.
The preview pane is selectable; a quick apple-a, apple-c will let you copy
the gene list to the clipboard, which you can then paste into the go
termfinder window of the browser. I am sorry that there is not a more
direct way, but there is not likely to be direct linking of this sort in the
near future.
