Which version did you base this patch on? > 0.7.8? I did base it on 0.7.8, yeah. If you make a new release with it, that'd be nice so that distributors and other folks could get the benefit of this. But by the time any distributors package it up, Pootle 1.3.x based on Django would be out. So whatever, either way, up to you. It doesn't help us at CC, particularly, to have this in a release by you since we use our own egg (at http://labs.creativecommons.org/~paulproteus/eggs/ ) for jToolkit that already has this patch. -- Asheesh. -- Good day to deal with people in high places; particularly lonely stewardesses. |

Dear jToolkit hackers, jToolkit's HTTP server's command line option parser allows one to specify a port to bind on, but not a particular address. At CC, we needed this so we could bind Pootle to localhost (and then point our reverse proxy at Pootle). We (Creative Commons) hereby assign joint copyright in this patch to St. James Software. -- Asheesh. -- Please take note: |

There's not much active jToolkit development (there's a successor soon to be released) but there are bugfixes and improvements mostly for Pootle's sake from time to time, so it's good to have this support there Cheers David |

I recently started doing some admin work for some guys who are using Pootle on FreeBSD. I'm somewhat involved in the FBSD project and my main contributions are in the area of the ports tree. I plan on getting pootle into the ports tree and as pootle depends on jtoolkit that will have to go in too. I'm dropping this email just to ensure that no one is currently working on this. I will be maintaining the port after it is created, which involves keeping it up to date and making sure that it works properly, as well as interfacing with you guys. This is not a fire-and-forget thing. :) I also noticed that FreeBSD isn't listed as a supported platform on your site but jtoolkit works fine on it. :) If you have any questions, concerns, thoughts, suggestions, feats of magick or whatever let me know. -- Thanks, Josh Paetzel |

Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. What is special about our research project is that a similar survey is planned with software developers in commercial firms. This procedure allows the immediate comparison between the involved individuals and the conditions of production of these two development models. Thus we hope to obtain substantial new insights to the phenomenon of Open Source Development. With many thanks for your participation, Benno Luthiger PS: The results of the survey will be published under http://www.isu.unizh.ch/fuehrung/blprojects/FASD/. We have set up the mailing list fa...@we... for this study. Please see http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/mailinglist_en.html for registration to this mailing list. _______________________________________________________________________ Benno Luthiger Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich 8092 Zurich Mail: benno.luthiger(at)id.ethz.ch _______________________________________________________________________ |

Hi I have recently committed lots of patches from St James Software's tree to the jToolkit CVS tree. We will try and keep the patches coming :-) David |

This is to announce that the jToolkit project has been created at sourceforge. These lists are for announcements, developer discussions, and user discussions respectively. The CVS list will contain commit messages whenever something is committed... Regards David Fraser |
