Mike,
That didn’t do it. I verified that the rigctl* bins and libs are in /usr and they are now.
Same error.
But the jtdx bins are in /usr/local/ including “jtdx” itself. But I run it has socket errors.
This is what I ran for jtdx-improved:
pi@pi3:~/Downloads $ sudo dpkg -i jtdx_2.2.159_improved_Rpi_armhf.deb
Selecting previously unselected package jtdx.
(Reading database ... 269868 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to unpack jtdx_2.2.159_improved_Rpi_armhf.deb ...
Unpacking jtdx (2.2.159) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of jtdx:
jtdx depends on hamlib (>= 4.5~git.20211220); however:
Package hamlib is not installed.
dpkg: error processing package jtdx (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
jtdx
I have thought about this a little more. Something I thought about is that I want to test jtdx-improved on pi to learn about it. The test Pi am running this on, and encountering the issue with is with Raspbian “Bullseye”. However, the destination is for my RigPi still running “Buster”. Is the .deb install based on a particular OS? I don’t know these details.
I didn’t want to run into issues with the RigPi I use remote everyday. But I do have a copy I could use to see if that is the issue. The RigPi is running Hamlib 4.5~git, but not 4.5.4.
But mainly is the version of Raspbian creating the issue?
