Hi List, 1) i tried to start frost_2011-03-05 in a clear environement. it didn't work. i debugged and fixed it: I removed dispose() in FirstStartupDialog.java and added it in caller method (Core.java). If dispose() is called from the inside of the Dialog, then the waiting thread on setVisible(true) never returns... The patch and the resulting files are attached. 2) eclipse complained that it needs lib/datechooser. i removed the reference in project settings and it worked without this lib. 3) I imported the project to eclipse and i had to copy the content of the ressource directory to the _out_ directory. This was needed to run/debug frost from eclipse ide. This is more a eclipse related question, but maybe you can help me: How can i configure eclipse to use a given resource directory? 4) is it dangerous to use an old version of frost? |

Hello dear Frost developers, I would like to use Frost in my native language. So I want to translate Frost into Slovak language. I would be really glad if it is possible for you to add my translation into latest version so all Frost users could use it. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Emil |

Hi, I have reworked some of the code for the download dialog. The Dialog should now appear in all places. Plus I have added the functionality to rename files, add a prefix and some minor fixes. I hope you like it. Cheers artur PS: If you wondered why it took me so long to get the next update ready: I got injured during a sports accident (I do skydiving) and could not use my PC for quite some time. Still haven't regained my full flexibility in my right arm... In the same time I switched my employer and got some catchup to do there, and last but not least some other private stuff I had to spend time on. So I hope next year will be better, and I will be able to do some more regular work on Frost. |

Hi Artur, thanks for your patch. I have some points about it. In MiscPanel, line 262 and following you forgot the 'w' in the variable name. In MessageTextPane, the context menu items for the optional 'show in browser' functionality is always shown, no matter if the setting is enabled or not. After all I don't get the point what the setting is about at all ? Is it the needed prefix to show content delivered by the freenet node? Now the most important (and sad) point: the Desktop class you use to invoke the system default browser is not available in JDK 1.5. Currently Frost runs on 1.5 only. This was needed to support Frost on all important OSes, e.g. MacOS. If someone could tell us that we have a 1.6 on all OSses now, maybe we could start to require it. But consider that such a requirement update needs some good reason to explain it to the users. Hi, here is another small patch. It allows to open a link or attachment in the system default browser. This only works when the URL prefix under the options/misc menu is configured. If this option is empty, no URL will be opened (for safety / information leak). Cheers artur |

You can reach it under the options menu. There you can add and remove keys from the track download storage. Cheers artur |

Hi, I found some time to do some more coding,.. here are the results: When adding a new downloads from a post (keys or attachments) a dialog will open, where the items can be attributed (currently download dir and priority). This dialog also states if the file has already been downloaded (download tracking) or if a file with the same name already exists in the download target directory. This patch also enables the tracking from which post / board a download was originated. Combined with a new setting (when enabled) the download directory will default to a subdirectory of the default download directory with the board name. If the target download directory does not already exist, it will be created. I attach the langres.properties file, too, because it is not part of the patch. (Can someone remove the octetstream property of this file? Since it is no longer needed for svn...) The patch is against the new trunk... Cheers artur |

Hello, yesterday I moved the branch 'integrate-freetalk' to trunk, because trunk was not longer updated. The move kept the branch history. The old trunk was moved to a tag. So the current trunk contains all the latest patches I received. Happy coding! Ok, I just switched my wc and merged my changes to the integrate-freetalk branche. I have just run some small tests, but everything seemed to work fine. So here is the patch against the freetalk branch Sadly the patch is missing the langres.properties changes (because it think it is binary?!?),.. so I attach it as well... Hi, I will create a patch against the other branche. But I am away for the next 2 days, so it will take some time. One other question: Is Freenet 0.5 still a target system for Frost? I noticed there is still code to support 0.5, but there have also been commits to remove some of the code..
