I think he actually meant that the user should explicitly choose what driver he/she wants to use for that library. There wouldn't be an autoscan involved. I think it would be an improvement. The only issue I see is that, as the list of synthdrivers expands, choosing your synth every time you create a library could get cumbersome. What I'd still prefer is something like MidiQuest, where you'd choose the synths in your studio, somehow, and they'd be listed along the left side of the window. Any time you want a new library, you just right-click on that synth to bring up a pop-up menu and you'd select "New Library". - Joe |
