Yeah. I've got those fixed. And the compile-time error I was getting was 
because IDEA was trying to use its built-in Groovy compiler, which I was 
able to turn off.

So, I've got it compiling now... and now I've progressed to 
NullPointerExceptions before the GUI even opens. Progress!
