In what may be the first non-spam post on this list in ages, I have a question... :) Using version 0.20 on Debian with a 2.6 kernel, connected to a Delta 1010 (which has a MIDI IN and OUT on an external rackmount box), I am able to talk to the device when I use /dev/midi01 (since the sound chip on my motherboard is card 0, and the Delta is 1). However, JSynthLib's MIDI loopback test seems to lose a byte or two every time. Are there some kind of latency requirements I should know about, or what would be the best place to start troubleshooting this? I am certain it's not the MIDI cable -- it's fairly short. -- + Brent A. Busby * "It's clear.
